A new resource for serious writers: Key West Writers Lab

Many working writers (myself included) often have trouble finding good, professional feedback on their works-in-progress–their novels, creative nonfiction and poetry. To address that need, British novelist/poet Rosalind Brackenbury and I have just launched a nonprofit coaching service for committed creative writers, Key West Writers Lab.

It works to help serious writers augment their craft and hone works-in-progress, filling the gap between academic instruction, apprenticeship and publication through focused one-on-one mentoring and informed feedback from veteran authors.

While based in Key West, Florida, we’ll be working with writers worldwide via email, phone, Skype and social media. The lab serves to help writers across a spectrum of issues: structure and organization; plot logic, causality and pacing; character motivation, compression and development; language, wordsmithing and more.
